The list below has been produced with help from the encyclopaedic Centenary History of Watford FC, which featured two pages (pp. 175-6, for those interested) of information, dates and photos of all the club’s chairmen throughout its history up till that point. Many of the earlier incumbents had usually been referred to in print only by their initial(s) and surname, the most common way to refer to gentlemen in the Victorian and Edwardian eras.
